Every Naughty Mommy needs to be at least twice a year on vacation, or more if she can, but that might be pushing it. A really great place to go is somewhere that’s close to home. 1-2 hours away max. so you can take the car. Naughty Mommy’s all know what that means. No lugging 3 suitcases with toys, diapers, monitors, books and snacks through security and praying to have an easy flight. And by easy we mean just good enough so we don’t have to hide behind our blankets and pretend that these kids belong to the people next to us. No, 1-2 hours away means a relaxing car drive where your kids are hopefully asleep or can make it through with one of their favorite movies. That’s what true vacation is. At least for now.

I love the point you make here. It’s so important to get away from it all once in a while and get a fresh perspective on life.
The other great thing about your post is staying local is less hassle, less stressful, cheaper…and it’s good for the local economy. God knows our country needs all the help it can get right now!
